Problem

My Nikon camera is not found. When I launch the Shutter Stream software I get the following error message::


Cannot Find Camera Please ensure your camera(s) is connect to the computer and powered on

Solution

If you are unable to resolve your issue using the above troubleshooting article, the issue (on Windows) might be related to Microsoft 2008 Visual C++ Redistributables:

With some of the latest Nikon SDK you will need to install some Microsoft 2008 Visual C++ Redistributables:

This is because the latest versions of Nikon's SDKs are compiled with Visual Studio 2008 and in some cases the redistributables are not installed on the Windows machine.
