Problem
Shutter Stream (beta version 2.1) infrequently crashing on Mac El Capitan when using a Canon DSLR.
Solution
Please use the latest release of Shutter Stream, version 2.1 or higher.
Disclaimer
There was an issu with Canon's SDK in 2018 that caused a connection issue between the camera and computer. This was resolved through an updated SDK from Canon and the software will work flawless on Mac El Capitan on Shutter Stream Version 2.1+
