How can I manage my data using Projects and Multi Rows in Shutter Stream

Step-by-step guide

Shutter Stream has two powerful features for managing your data capture: Projects and Multirows:

  1. Projects in Shutter Stream are a master working directory where all the original images and RAW files are saved (if shooting with RAW+JPG is enabled).
Projects also store intermediate results and edited files, as lossless TIFs.
  2. Multirows are enabled inside each project.

Projects Guide

Here is a quick run-through on how to use Projects:

  1. Projects are directories used by Shutter Stream to perform all the work and to save all the input and temporary files.
  2. Projects are accessed from the gearbox and you can perform the following functions:

    1. You can create New project, in which case you specify the name and the location of the new folder.
    2. You can open a project, in which case you navigate to a Shutter Stream project directory:

    3. The Shutter Stream directory that stores a project will have a .shs extension.
    4. You can open the default project location, which depends on the OS:

    5. You can save the current project to a new directory, in which case the working directory is saved to a new location.
  3. Projects can be used to share working spaces between computers and you can save a unique Project on a per-customer basis.

Multi Rows Guide

  1. They can be enabled from the Gearbox/Thumbnail Options:

The selected/active row is shown in bold underscore, in the picture above the active row is DualShot.
    3. To delete a row:
      1. Select all the thumbnails by clicking the "check-mark"
      2. Delete all the thumbnails by clicking the "x"
      3. Delete the row by clicking on the "x" again and accepting the delete.

    4. You can restore a deleted row and the originals from the Gearbox then "Import originals ..." and selecting the row you just deleted:

The restored row will appear at the bottom of the restored row list
